When I was a child, I heard my father calling a pig or hog, Suar. I didn’t know what this word meant. It was not until years later, when I read one of his books, that I learned that this was the name of a foul animal. We couldn’t afford animals, so he went to the neighbor’s house to help him slop or feed the hogs. On some days, he let me go with him. The animals survived in a muddy pig pen and ate left overs and grain. To survive, we had to eat the meat of this foul animal. At the time, I did not realize why swine was prohibited to eat. It was not until years later that I learned that food affects the whole external and internal system of man. If swine is eaten, its foul flesh will have the most injurious effect on the body and soul. My niece, Ms. Tracy, owns Original Origins Health and Wellness.
